2024 Raleigh/Durham Geek Girl Brunch Kickoff

2024 Raleigh/Durham Geek Girl Brunch Kickoff

We’re only three months into 2024 and the Raleigh/Durham chapter of Geek Girl Brunch has been having a blast! We started the year off with our 50s Retrofuturism Brunch over at The Shiny Diner in January! The Shiny Diner was the picturesque setting for our fashionable brunch!

We then followed it up with a chocolate strawberry making class in February over at Rewind Retrobar! The Geek Girls learned how to melt, temper, and dip strawberries in chocolate and coat them with a variety of toppings!

And let’s not forgot our yearly Galantine’s Brunch! It’s become a tradition for our chapter of Geek Girls to host Galantine’s to celebrate the friendships we’ve created over the years. This year we enjoyed delicious homemade southern cuisine at Tupelo Honey Cafe.

Following our Galantine’s brunch we started March off with a Mad Hatter Tea Party! The Geek Girls dressed there best in Wonderland themed fashion and tested their knowledge with trivia!

And to end the month we went to the Cat Tales Cafe! The Geek Girls had the chance to play and help socialize the cats at this adoption agency. So far they have helped 780 cats find homes, and by reserving a playdate The Geek Girls helped their cause.

We’ve had so much fun planning events this year and there is loads more to come! So far we have planned a Sushi Making Class, a visit to the Carolina Tiger Rescue and a trip to the Festival of Legends! It’s sure to be a great year for the Raleigh/Durham chapter of Geek Girl Brunch.
