Galentine’s Brunch Phoenix
You know Galentine’s Day is one of our favorite holidays, right? The brunchettes at Geek Girl Brunch Phoenix wanted to celebrate with a Galentine’s brunch to give our chapter an opportunity to relax and enjoy some good food! We met up at Elly’s Brunch & Cafe on Camelback in Phoenix, to try out their tasty menu that includes a baked apple pancake, brioche french toast, sticky buns, crepes and even chilaquiles.
The restaurant was very busy, but we were lucky to be seated quickly. Instead of mimosas, several of our brunchettes decided to try out Elly’s specialty lattes instead! They were delightful, and helped us keep the buzz going on our brunch convos. Recently, our chapter tabled at a fan con held by the local library, so we laughed and talked about that fun experience and all the geek girls we met that day. Hopefully they’ll join us for brunch soon!
While we waited for our food, everyone received crayons, a pink pencil, chocolates and paper to drawn on. We thought this would be a fun opportunity to just spend some time coloring and drawing, but several brunchettes ended up turning their paper art into mini Galentine’s cards for each other. We also showed our server appreciation for taking care of us at brunch by gifting her with these items too!
The area outside Elly’s restaurant includes an open courtyard and benches, so we enjoyed the pleasant weather and asked a friendly passerby to take a group photo of us. She made us laugh and encouraged us to take fun photos for our social media, so we just know we were entertaining the guests nearby waiting to enter the restaurant. It was a great day to spend time with our Galentines, and we can’t wait for our next brunch in April!
