GGB Glasgow Galentine’s Brunch
This Saturday, the Glasgow chapter had their first brunch of the year. As February 13th is Galentines Day, we decided to make that our theme. For those of you who aren’t aware of this truly awesome day, Galentines Day was coined by superwoman Leslie Knope on Parks and Recreation. It’s a great chance for ladies to celebrate ladies, and way more fun than V Day!
A few of our brunchettes are vegan, so we picked Las Iguanas for our location as they have a fairly decent veggie/vegan menu.
The Three Mushroom Fajita was a definite hit and the meaty options went down well too. The cocktails are also very tasty, even if we decided it was little early in the day to try out the rum flight! And the Hot Rum Chocolate was just what the doctor ordered on a cold and snowy day.
As it was Galentines Day, we did Secret Cupid – like Secret Santa but less Christmassy. We each brought a geeky gift and handed them out randomly. Along with the girly goodie bags, everyone was very pleased with what they got!
Over lunch we chatted about lots of possible future activities – watch this space for more details!
