GGB Miami: Cafe Kira Hoshi Trick or Tea Brunch

GGB Miami: Cafe Kira Hoshi Trick or Tea Brunch

On October 30th GGB Miami had a bonus (second) October brunch. We had the opportunity to collaborate an event with Cafe Kira Hoshi, a traveling maid and butler café from South Florida. We were contacted by this fun group and decided to join their Trick or Tea Party for Halloween at SpecialTea Lounge in Miami. We made the event open for GGB members and their friends and family. A lot of the brunchettes brought their kids and friends which made for a very nice turn out.

The event tickets included a lot of fun goodies, including a complimentary pastry and tea or coffee served to us by the Kira Hoshi maids and butlers. They had all kinds of croissants and teas and coffees. Two of the most popular treats were a Nutella and Dulce de Leche stuffed croissants. South Florida is notorious for putting Dulce de Leche in pastries and cookies. It’s delicious milky caramelized gooeyness that satisfies every sweet tooth. We had fun with coloring and craft activities and games. Everyone had a chance to walk the catwalk during a costume contest. Our very own officer Elsie (in Princess Aurora costume with her daughter in a matching Snow White costume) won runner up, and our GGB member dressed as Eleven from Stranger Things (along with her S/O as her Eggo) won for Best Costume!

Everyone had fun being silly at the Photo Boo-th and devoured treat bags full of fun candies. It was very nice having everyone come together for a mini Halloween celebration and it’s always enjoyable to meet GGB Miami member’s families. Even though we stress that GGB is fundamentally a women’s group, our Miami chapter allows one or two open events a year in which the Brunchettes are encouraged to bring their spouses, children and/or friends. It’s always nice getting to know this side of our Brunchettes and to share the comradery with friends and family. The next brunch we will have that will be open for non GGB members is our Stranger Things 80s Prom scheduled for April 2017.
